My sweet husband is a bit of a garage sale junkie.
In the nice weather he gets up early with small one on Saturdays and they wander the city in search of treasures.
It’s fun times for the wee girl and her Daddy and as long as I give them a list of things that I wouldn’t mind in the house it works out for me too.
I have a weakness for vintage pyrex that seems to have now end.
One of their finds was this awesome electric fondue pots that apparently was bought in the ’70′s and was never used ever again.
Well, it’s getting a work out at our house.
We do like our Friday treats and I’m going to really try to chroncile them a bit better.
I’m going to warn you though-they will likely be snaps from my iphone.
Not ideal photos but I promise yummy treats.
I think that we’ll need to have this treat again really, really soon.
Chevre Fondue with Meatballs
I took: 1 cup chicken broth and heated it to a simmer.
Add; 1 chopped garlic clove, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, pinch paprika, 150 gram chevre, 1 cup whole milk and heat everything together.
Whisk in 2 cups grated swiss cheese and add in a dash of worstershire and 1 tsp. horseradish.
1 lb of ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 2 tsp. dried basil, 1 egg, 3/4 cup grated parmesan and 1/2 tsp chilli flakes.
Mix and form into small balls.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes on a piece of parchment paper.
Pour a nice glass of wine and put on a good movie.
