Happiness Post #3

We’ve been having some pretty wicked weather lately.

It was -40 for a solid week, then 10 cm of snow, then freezing rain and finally a big thaw and 15 degrees.

In essence, an Ottawa winter.

That’s made for a lot of inside days and a big need for a lot of inside activities.

My happiness post this week is all about fun, cheap activities.

I have a board on Pinterest that is all about Saturday crafts. 

You know, the type of creafts that you can do quickly and with little expense. 

The type that kiddos love to do and remember better than an expensive holiday.

We made movie necklaces the other night.

I’m not putting the link to the original post here as it’s been blocked by Pinterest now BUT it’s an awesome idea.

A pretty ribbon, cheerios, dried apple slices, pretzels and yogurt covered pretzels. 

Everything strung and ready to eat while we watched “Brave” for the nth. time C:
