Second week of February and the second menu to share of the week.
This is my ode to brunch. Long, lazy starts to the day.
Don’t you wish you could do this all the time?
Well, I would save this menu either for the weekend or put on your jammies after work and pretend that you having a bonus Saturday.
Doesn’t a day feel especially decadent when it starts with a wee drinkie?
This toddy is one that my Gran would bring out when anyone was a bit under the weather and to be honest-this is worth faking the sniffles to have.
The recipe card at the bottom is for one serving. Just double, triple…acording to how many folks you have to serve.
In a heatproof glass or mug layer in honey and wedges of lemon.
Add a healthy shot of brandy.
Sip away while enjoying the rest of your brunch or if you really are under the weather, drink it as hot and as quickly as you can and have a good lie down.
Comforting but somehow bright tasting at the same time.
- For one:
- 1 T honey (I like a rich dark one)
- 1 oz brandy
- ½ lemon
- Boing water to top
- Mix and enjoy.
