So, if you read my blog on a semi regular basis you know that I don’t actually talk about a tonne of products. I am a pretty simple ingredient girl but I am often approached companies to try stuff out.
Most of the time I say no thank-you and other times I get the product and then don’t feel that I really like it enough to blog about it.
You see, I’d rather say nothing rather than say something negative.
Today I’m going to show you something fabulous that was sent to me knowing I would either love the product and it would end-up here or we’d just say this was a miss.
Ozery’s ‘Pita Break Date and Chia Morning Rounds’.
Morning Rounds are not a new product but the Date and Chia flavour is and wow-they have a winner.
Soft but not squidgy, white bread soft.
Slightly sweet due to the dates but with a nutty flavour coming from the whole grains and chia seeds.
They were gone in minutes.
We didn’t actually eat them in the morning. Instead I cut them up as part of a charcuterie plate.
Well, I couldn’t wait to give them a try as soon as I got them and the other reason?
One of my guests that night had allergies to nuts and milk products.
I had just made a big batch of Walnut Brioche which was so obviously out of the running to serve. Whoops.
A big plate though of homemade pickles, smoked duck, watermelon, soy cheese, candied sesame seeds and triangles of Date and Chia pita perfect for devouring.
The first thing gone? The pita wedges.
